Officially published by the Journal of Neuroscience on March 5th, 2026, our paper, 'Corticotropin-releasing factor and somatostatin neurons in the central amygdala mediate dynamic defensive behaviors during fear extinction' investigates how dynamic fear behaviors can elucidate neuronal extinction pathways. But do you know what has not been extinguished? The excitement for this research! Tulane shared an article this morning in which they interviewed Dr. Fadok with regard to the publication. Additionally, Scienmag science magazine published an article revering our publication as a "crucial step" in developing extinction related therapies. We are so excited to have our work discussed and shared within and outside of the academic community.
